The Quarry and the Odenwald Beyond

Last weekend we went for a walk around the quarry in Nußloch. Unfortunately I never got a picture of the Königstuhl. The mountains around it were covered in snow. You can see some of it in the pictures below.

Winter has arrived early to Nußloch. Already in November the ground is frozen and the snow is sticking. Temperatures haved dropped below zero. Yesterday morning we had -5°C.

We ended up walking around the gravel quarry. I shoulda brought my skis!

February brought more snow. Here we are taking a walk between Oberdorf in Dielheim and Baiertal in Wiesloch.

Winter has returned to the Rhein-Neckar area. After a brief warming at the end of January, we have had a mixture of snow and rain. None of this is makes riding my bike to work any easier. We had some great snowman snow, but the next day rain made it soggy and heavy.

Yesterday we had our first snowfall. It was just a dusting of snow. None of it stuck, melting as soon as it hit the ground.
